Support for researchers

BIEA supports and promotes research in number of ways. We have considerable research facilities in Nairobi, including an extensive library, computer room with internet access and free Wi-Fi, ample desk space, a seminar/lecture room, storage facilities for equipment and artefacts, and a wide-range of technical equipment for hire/loan. The BIEA also has a large archive of unpublished reports and images that may be of considerable interest to researchers. In addition, we can provide a wide range of advice and expert assistance through our experienced staff and graduate attchees. We also offer financial support through our minor grants scheme.
