BIEA Nairobi
BIEA maintains extensive facilities at its Nairobi base. These facilities were significantly upgraded in April 2009, with the opening of a new office block (pictured below) and the conversion of the old offices into a guesthouse for visiting researchers.
The new facilities include a larger library, a new lecture/seminar room, a new computing/research room, a new mapping/GIS facility, and increased storage and analysis space. BIEA further continues to maintain a wide range of technical and camping equipment for use by research projects.
