BIEA Guesthouse

GuesthouseBIEA maintains a guesthouse at its Nairobi base for visiting researchers. Situated in the same compound as the main BIEA offices in the Kileleshwa area of Nairobi (just 25min walk from the city centre, click for map), the BIEA guesthouse is a useful base whether you are conducting research within the city itself.

Please note:  Guesthouse accommodation is only available to BIEA members, so if you are not already a member but wish to make a booking please firstly go to our membership page [click here to access] and complete the necessary formalities.

Presently the guesthouse has five guest rooms (2 triples, 2 doubles and 1 single), a large living-room looking out onto our gardens, a dining area and a self-catering kitchen. Good shopping facilities are located close by at the Kasuku Centre. The guesthouse also has a secured Wi-Fi internet connection throughout. The facility is maintained by our steward, Mr Godfrey Kalafa (pictured below). To make a reservation please contact our office through the email guesthouse@biea.ac.uk. Members are charged at a rate of Kshs 2000/= per person per night for accomodation in the guesthouse.
